STATUTES (Extract)
Lithuanian Hydropower Association (abbreviated LHA) is independent a non-governmental organisation formed on voluntary basis and joining together developers and producers of Lithuanian hydro energy sources utilisation equipment, consumers of hydro energy and other persons for the satisfaction of common needs of members and implementation of common targets. The field of the LHA activities covers both small and large hydropower and hydro energy produced by pumped storage plants as well. The special attention is divided to independent power producers .
The main aim of the Association is to build up technical, legal, environmental policy of hydro energy as renewable and national energy source and related water management. To support research, creation and implementation of the methods and means of hydro energy resources utilisation; To popularise and expand utilisation of hydro energy sources in Lithuania; To represent and protect common interests of Association members. The Association is limited property organisation. According its duties it is responsible only by its property from which it shall be recovered according order established by the Laws of Republic of Lithuania. The Association is not responsible for the duties of its members, and its members are not responsible for its duties. The Association by implementing its aims and targets shall:
Spread information about its activity, propagate its aims and targets in written, verbal and other forms without obstacles; Set public information means, be engaged in publishing activities; Organise meetings, public gatherings, picket, demonstrations, various processions and other mass arrangements; Purchase or acquire in other legal way the property needed for its activities, use it, govern and dispose of it. Hire persons for the activities foreseen in the statute; Receive means and other property from international, non-governmental organisations, funds and physical persons as well; Enter into international non-governmental organisations, which aims and activities do not contradict the Constitution of Republic of Lithuania and other Laws of Republic of Lithuania, maintain relations with non-governmental and international organisations of other countries;Found enterprises, being registered and operating according the Laws of Republic of Lithuania; Establish funds, join together into unions of non-governmental organisations; Make agreements, lend (only own means) and borrow financial means and property; Participate in activities of other organisations through the delegated representatives. The members of Association can be the citizens of Republic of Lithuania, at least 18 years old, which have acknowledged statutes and participate actively in the Association activity and pay members fee.
