What is new

• The International Scientific Conference lithuanian hydropower - 100 on Small Hydropower (Kaunas, Lithuania 23-25 May, 2001) is being organised
• The project entitled "International Conference on Small Hydropower. 23-25 May, 2001, Kaunas, Lithuania" together with SERO Hydropower (NGO from Sweden) has been submitted to PHARE Small Project Fund for funding the above conference. 
• The LHA itself has recently submitted the project entitled "Sustainable Small Hydro development taking into account the environmental requirements" to PHARE ACCESS Programme for the possible funding. The project will deal with the following items:

1. Establishment of hydropower legal framework, 
2. Preparation of small hydropower development program,
3. Development of master plan for the location of small hydropower plants, taking into account environmental requirements, 
4. Organisation of the seminar for the decision makers of the Ministries of Environment and Economy, hydropower developers, designers, ecological groups
