The activity of HydroGIS Research groop started in 1998.
It is footloose and fancy free community of researchers inside university.
There are not a constant staff as in official structures of university.
People joins on the basis of participation in research projects, consultancy services etc.

The main activities

The core activities covers hydraulic engineering, hydropower, flood protection, river navigation, modelling of hydrological processes, water management.
Water engineering without GIS integration today is impossible, thus GIS application in modelling of hydrological and hydraulic processes is one of the main activities.
The background of the main part of team is Hydraulic engineering, Environmental engineering and close to it.

We are the research unit at the Faculty of Water & Land management Lithuanian University of Agriculture.
All staff from different institutes, departments or laboratories joined to our team under umbrella of common research interests.
